The bereavement drop-in centre runs every Thursday morning throughout the year.
The bereavement drop-in centre is run jointly by a team of trained volunteers from Holy Trinity and St Michael and All Angels churches.
It exists to serve grieving people in our community and is open to anyone who has been bereaved whatever their faith, religion or belief.
It is good to see our regulars, who having been helped to deal with their own grief, befriend and support newcomers to share and talk not only about their grief experience but also help them feel comfortable and socialise with other members of the group.
Some of those who come into the centre choose to meet one of our trained bereavement volunteers on a one to
one basis for a few weeks before joining the group, whilst others go straight into the group and
share experiences.
Those who have experienced a bereavement of a family member or close friend are often helped by being part of a caring group such as this.
There is a monthly communion service for those who attend the drop-in centre and who wish to participate. Anyone is welcome to attend whatever their level of faith.
