Ministry

I “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” - John 13:35

“Now there are different kinds of spiritual gifts… and there are different kinds of service in the church (ministry)... All of you together form the one Body of Christ and each of you is a separate and necessary part of it.” 1 Cor. 12:4-5, 27

In the great commandment Jesus told us to ‘love our neighbour as ourselves’.
A definition of ministry is meeting needs with love. Whatever forms community takes we need to be a place and a people of love, a place where people: can find love and can express love; can know and be known; can meet needs and have their needs met. This should be part of our ethos and our rhythm of life, but it is only through real relationships that this is possible.
